Missing Cyclist Haldon Forest

At 22:00 the team were asked by Devon and Cornwall Police to assist in the search for a missing cyclist in Haldon Forest Park following his failure to return home. Mountain Rescue search dogs and team members were deployed to search the cycle trails he was believed to have been riding on earlier in the day.

At 23:40 the missing cyclist was located by one of our search dogs in the undergrowth just off a cycle trail. SWAST paramedics attended and confirmed that the cyclist was sadly deceased. The team stood down at 00:00.

Our thoughts are with the cyclist’s friends and family.
