Lost walkers in the Dart gorge

Callout #36 Friday 1st November

At 18:33, the team were called out by Devon and Cornwall Police to assist in the search for two walkers who had become lost in the dark on paths within the Dart gorge, below Mel Tor.

Police officers and a drone had been deployed and had located the lost walkers. An advance party of our volunteers met the officers and walkers and assisted in escorting them out of the steep valley. The walkers were then transported back to their car at Newbridge.
The team stood down at approximately 20:30, to carry on with our Friday evening plans.
17 of our volunteers were involved in this callout.
