Exeter missing person search turns up no clues
At 18:35 on Thursday 4th August, a full team callout was issued to assist Devon and Cornwall Police with a search centred around the Countesswear Bridge area of the city.
A male in his 50’s, considered at high risk, had gone missing around lunchtime and his family were concerned for his welfare. Working on what little information there was regarding his potential whereabouts, our search areas were concentrated north of Countesswear Bridge alongside the River Exe and the canal.
3 x field teams, controlled by our Search Manager working alongside the Police Lost Person Search Manager (LPSM), and a National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter, searched until 22:30 when our volunteers were stood down.
Fortunately, the man returned home in the early hours of the morning safe and well.
